Hello LandMark

What are the costs for installing industrial-grade truck routes?

Base Construction and Road Structure

Truck routes require robust foundations to support heavy vehicle loads, including excavation, sub-base layers, and compaction.

  • Granular sub-base (GSB) and wet mix macadam (WMM): ₹500 to ₹800 per running meter
  • Road width typically 6 to 8 meters for two-way truck traffic
  • High-load sub-grade preparation adds ₹100 to ₹150 per square foot

Surfacing and Pavement

The final surfacing must resist heavy wheel loads, fuel spills, and wear-and-tear from continuous industrial use.

  • Asphalt surfacing: ₹120 to ₹180 per square foot for 100mm thickness
  • RCC concrete surfacing: ₹160 to ₹250 per square foot for 150–200mm thickness
  • Concrete preferred for entry zones, loading bays, or turning areas

Drainage, Shoulders, and Edge Protection

Truck routes must include efficient stormwater management and durable road edges to prevent surface failure.

  • Side drains and culverts: ₹50,000 to ₹1.5 lakh per 100 meters
  • Curbs and edge protection: ₹200 to ₹400 per running meter
  • Shoulders with gravel or compacted earth: ₹100 to ₹200 per square foot

Total Estimated Cost

For a standard 100-meter industrial-grade truck route, the total cost typically ranges from:

  • ₹12 lakh to ₹20 lakh for asphalt-based roads
  • ₹18 lakh to ₹25 lakh for RCC-based roads with full drainage and edge protection
