Municipal authorities charge inspection fees during various stages of the development process to ensure compliance with building and zoning regulations.
- Building plan and layout inspections: ₹10,000 to ₹50,000 depending on plot size and location
- Foundation and structural inspections: ₹5,000 to ₹25,000 per stage or phase
- Fees may be fixed or percentage-based on construction area or project cost
Utilities and Infrastructure Inspections
Additional inspections are conducted for connections to public utilities and infrastructure compliance.
- Water, sewage, and drainage inspection: ₹5,000 to ₹15,000 per utility
- Electrical system inspection (pre-commissioning): ₹5,000 to ₹10,000
- Charges may increase for multiple visits or resubmissions
Final Occupancy and Compliance Checks
Before occupancy or use, the municipality performs a final inspection to issue approvals such as Completion or Occupancy Certificate.
