• Contact the local TANGEDCO office: They can provide information about the nearest Low Tension (LT) or High Tension (HT) lines and the feasibility of extending service to your property.​
  
• Use the TANGEDCO online portal: By applying for a new service connection through their you can initiate the process and receive guidance on the necessary steps and documentation. 

Typically, if an existing electricity line is within 200 meters of your property, obtaining a connection is more straightforward.​ 

2. Water Supply Connection Points

Water supply services are managed by different agencies depending on your location:​

• In Chennai: The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) handles water connections. 
• In other urban areas: The Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board (TWAD) or the respective municipal corporation manages water services 

To find the nearest water connection point:

• Consult the local municipal office: They can provide details about existing water mains and the feasibility of connecting your property.​
  
• Use the Tamil Nadu Urban ePay portal: By applying through you can submit the necessary forms and documents to initiate the connection process. 

Generally, if a water main is within 100 feet (approximately 30 meters) of your property, a connection can be established more easily.​
